Food writer, food writing courses and blogger
Born and brought up in north Cornwall, I began my career as an advertising copywriter in London and Johannesburg agencies. For 20+ years, I’ve been working freelance in London writing everything from internal newsletters for large companies to sales copy, blogs, web content and food features.
As the interest in food has exploded so it’s been my pleasure to help would-be food writers and bloggers express themselves better on-line and in print. Could you be the next award-winning food-blogger or cookbook writer? Let’s give it a go.
Judging and public speaking work
A member of the Guild of Food Writers since 2004, I’ve helped to judge several Guild awards including the Restaurant Reviewer of the Year. Am a Great Taste Awards judge co-ordinator again this year and have been a business mentor and speaker at the Speciality and Fine Food Awards. My regular judging work includes British Pie Awards, the Quality Food Awards and the World Bread Awards.
